Kitten Season at The SF/SPCA

The SF/SPCA is now presenting its Kitten Class of 2007 at Maddie's Pet Adoption Center. They have kittens of every imaginable stripe and color, and these adorable little guys and gals are just waiting for that special person who'll give them a loving home. The fee for a kitten is $100. If you think that's a tad expensive, consider what the fee includes:

  • Adoption counseling
  • An animal that's already spayed or neutered and microchipped
  • 30-Day Medical Assistance Plan at The SF/SPCA Infirmary
  • First exam from a local veterinarian
  • Cat carrier
  • Behavior information and counseling

And, if you want to adopt two kittens, the second one is only $50, and with all the same benefits as the first. What a deal!

The SF/SPCA also has great arrangements for older cats:

  • The adoption fee for an adult cat (over 6-months of age) is $80: adopt one adult cat and get a second adult cat free of charge! Plus, you receive all the benefits listed above.
  • There is no adoption fee for senior San Francisco residents (62 and over) who adopt a cat 3 years of age or older. These adopters also receive a year of routine medical care through The SF/SPCA Community Veterinary Hospital.
