Closing Day Festivities at Howard Street

Please join the Academy in celebrating the closing of its Howard Street location and the beginning of "The Great Migration" back to Golden Gate Park with a day of family-friendly festivities, including:
- Presentations by Academy insiders on what it takes to pack and move live animals and extensive research collections, and previews of the exciting exhibits being installed at the new Academy in Golden Gate Park
- Arts-and-crafts projects all day
- A final sale at the Academy Store
- Penguin feedings at 11 am & 3:30 pm
- A closing ceremony at 4:00 pm
- Start of a countdown to the new Academy's opening day
To receive free admission on January 6, bring a "housewarming" gift from this Wish List to help the aquarium and rainforest animals settle into their future home.
At 5:00 pm, the Howard Street museum will close permanently. The new California Academy of Sciences will open in the fall of 2008 in Golden Gate Park.
