Adoption Goal Exceeded

The SF/SPCA has surpassed its adoption goal for FY 2007-08! On June 26, a tiny dilute tortie kitten named Lauren became the 4,000th animal adopted from the Society during the year, thus attaining the goal set 12 months earlier. In fact, by the time Maddie's Adoption Center closed its doors on June 30, an additional 60 cats and dogs had found loving homes, bringing the adoption total to a record-breaking 4,060, 25 percent more than the previous fiscal year. In thanking the staff, the adopters, and the community for their contributions to this milestone achievement, SF/SPCA President Jan McHugh-Smith said that the commitment of the Society to saving homeless companion animals would be strengthened by this success.
