For the past 33 years the Queer community in San Francisco has been serving more than a thousand full-course holiday dinners to people from the Tenderloin who are down and out on their luck. This year, as in every year, they need your help.
The dinner, known as Tenderloin Tessie's Holiday Dinner, is in need of volunteers, food items and most of all they need money.
Volunteer shifts are flexible, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., but are especially needed from 11:45 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The dinner takes place December 25th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 1187 Franklin Street (corner of Geary) in San Francisco.
