Everybody in San Francisco (who has been in the City more than a month or two) knows the name of Tom Ammiano. Most of us who have been in the City for a longer time ( I've been in San Francisco most of my life) know Tom personally.
Tom is a Democrat, is a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors representing District 9, including parts of the Mission District, Bernal Heights and Portola neighborhoods. Tom is a candidate for California State Assembly. He hopes to step into the office being vacated by Mark Leno, who is a candidate for California State Senate.
But who really stands behind Tom Ammiano?
Are there skeletons in his closet or is he really the progressive Democrat everybody hopes he is.
Well, here's the list of his endorsers and supporters. You can scan the list and see if you recognize any of the names. A candidate's quality is often revealed by the endorsements the candidate carries. Compare Tom's list of endorsements with those of his opponents. There isn't really much of a competition here. Tom is clearly the people's choice.

If irrefutable proof that Tom Ammiano contributed to the delinquency of minors in his home while he was a teacher for the San Francisco Unified School District would all these supporters continue to support him. There will be an October surprise for Tom. He supplied marijuana, LSD, Alcohol and poppers to minors for many years.
Listen, Missy Mzford: I don't want comments like yours turning this blog into a cheap-shot scandal rag. If you want to accuse anyone of a crime the correct thing to do is present yourself before the San Francisco District Attorney and propose prosecution. You don't hide in a dark corner and throw rocks like some cowardly brat kid.
. . .
Anyway, if you have intimate knowledge of such goings-on you were either a party to the crime or you were the bitter old queen across the street peering through the curtains. Which is it?
. . .
Or perhaps this is just a completely fabricated story. Maybe this is nothing more than the dysfunctional way a mean and cranky old hag spits her putrid venom.
. . .
Accusations are easy to make. They require neither originality or evidence. Unfortunately when accusations are made through the Internet they often develop a life of their own. That makes the people who spread those lies particularly ugly little people.
