San Francisco's Baycat:

BAYCAT is a San Francisco non-profit community media producer that educates, empowers and employs underserved youth and adults in the digital media arts. By bridging the digital divide, BAYCAT inspires students to stay in school and become lifelong learners, and to use the power of digital media and design to shape their communities and tell their unique stories.

Professional Media and Design Classes:

BAYCAT offers free classes in media and design. Through project-based learning and access to the latest digital technology, students are able to learn professional media applications while discovering their innate artistic abilities. By encouraging students to collaborate with each other, their families, and the world around them, BAYCAT strives to build a community enriched by the experience of creative expression.

Studio Baycat:

Studio BAYCAT hires BAYCAT graduates to work with professionals to produce effective and engaging marketing materials for clients ranging from small merchants to multinational corporations. Studio BAYCAT works with clients on a pro-bono as well as for-fee basis.

Studio BAYCAT is the go-to marketing studio for like-minded clients who want to make a social impact while receiving high quality marketing services. Their services range from video production, web design and graphic design to full-fledged marketing campaigns. To date, Studio BAYCAT has worked with over 60 clients, provided $200,000-worth of pro-bono services, hired over 15 interns, and generated significant revenue to support the core programming of BAYCAT.
