This interrogation is just a simple and easy survey and you can answer all the questions in the privacy of your home or office and remain completely and entirely anonymous.Say what you really think!
The SFPD, at the direction of the Mayor's Office, Board of Supervisors and the San Francisco Police Commission, have embarked upon an independent and comprehensive review of the operations, structure, and personnel resources of the San Francisco Police Department. Your input is a vital component of the review process.Many major American cities provide police protection and services from the top down. In other words, the people get the level and kind of police department the power structure wants to give them.This is an attempt to provide direction from the grassroots upward.
The survey is the work of Theresa Sparks, our independently intelligent President of the San Francisco Police Commission and the members of the Commission collectively. The insight and support shown from Mayor Gavin Newsom and Police Chief Heather Fong are major reasons why we, the public, are being asked a series of questions about the future we want for our police department. Both Gavin Newsom and Heather Fong have deep San Francisco family roots and are life-long residents. They are San Franciscans in the truest, finest and most honorable sense of the term.
Join them in being a responsible San Franciscan and take ten or fifteen minutes and contribute to your City by taking the San Francisco Police Effectiveness Review survey (SFPD-PER). You will have the opportunity to take the survey in English, Spanish, Russian or Cantonese.
If you work in San Francisco or own a business in the City there is a second survey for you, largely dealing with police foot patrols, response times and district force allocation.
For those who read this blog and live somewhere else on our planet other than San Francisco, there is a visitors survey for you - but please - only take the survey if you have visited San Francisco at least once. If you have never visited San Francisco - what in hell are you waiting for?
