This is the weekend for the world's largest leather party, the Folsom Street Fair. Parties and events are planned back-to-back all weekend long. The fair itself happens this Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The fairgrounds, right in the middle of San Francisco, will be filled with people in their most outrageous leather/rubber/fetish attire and some absolutely naked men and women - gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender - enjoying the worlds largest and most erotic leather fair.

This year, as always, it will be located in San Francisco's South of Market district on Folsom Street between 7th and 12th Streets. The San Francisco Police Department ignore nudity during the Folsom Street Fair, so bring your sunblock or bring your camera - whichever you prefer.

A special note to local leather folks: Now, listen family, please be aware that this weekend we also have about 35,000 tourists coming into San Francisco by sea. The Embarcadero is going to be crowded with cruise ships and camera-toting, Bermuda-shorts-wearing tourists from every continent on Earth. Many of them will stray away from the expected places (Fisherman's Wharf, Cable Cars, etc) and may find themselves face to face with Leather Daddies, slave boys and slave girls, Leather Mamas, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and scattered naked men or women on our streets. A lot of those folks are older and they may not have robust hearts, so be nice and go easy on the tourists this weekend, OK?
