San Francisco Chronicle's James Irwin Wins Emmy


Congratulations to James Irwin, a journalist for the San Francisco Chronicle, who just won an Emmy Award for a video news story. The story, Prisoners Guide Teens on Tour of San Quentin, was judged to be the best of the best in the regional news coverage category.

Irwin, who is director of video journalism for the Chronicle and SFGate.com, left a career in television journalism in Reno, Nevada, to come to work for the Hearst Corporation, which owns the Chronicle.
