San Francisco Job Openings & Help Wanted - April 2009

During the hard times San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi's office is attempting to collect and share job information with San Franciscans. Here is the latest from Ross:

The U. S. Census Bureau is recruiting NOW for the 2010 Census, and you can be a part of it. Data gathered during the census is essential to determining how federal monies are spent of the things that matter the most to you: Health care, education, jobs, home ownership, Community safety, Community services, Aid for children and seniors. The census is hiring for various San Francisco-based positions. The Census Bureau offers great pay, flexible hours, paid training, career advancement and a chance to improve your community.

The Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco is hiring for several positions. The Haight Ashbury location is looking for a Teen Services Director and a Program Manager. They are also hiring for several other positions throughout the City.

The San Francisco Police Department is continuously hiring qualified applicants. Applicants must be over twenty-one years old, have a valid driver's license, must be US citizens, must have graduated high School or equivalent, and must not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor which would prohibit possession of a firearm. Note: The January and February SFPD entry tests were canceled due to budgetary restrictions. Testing dates are currently being planned for the spring and may occur wuthin the next month or two.
