Jewish Republican Obama Smear Campaign - Disgusting!

.
The Republican Jewish Hit Squad:
.
Not all Republicans are right-wing born-again Christians. Some (but not many) are Jews and they are all Shmendricks. They have created a shlemiel of an organization called the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC). The RJC is as much a turn-coat organization as Jews for Jesus, the crackpots who preached at Sarah Palin's Wasilla Bible Church (see link to the story below under Resources)
.
Have you seen the latest lie-packed RJC attack ad? This one screams, "Barack Obama's Friends: Pro-Palestinian. Anti-Israel. Hostile to America."
.
It's just the latest in a series of revolting, Swift Boat-style attacks from the RJC in the Jewish media in the past month.
.

..
Publications serving the Jewish community should stop running RJC attack ads filled simply with lies and distortions. Will you sign the petition to stop the RJC's fear mongering and hate peddling?
.
.
The Disgusting Part:
.
In just the past month, the RJC has:
.
-Linked Obama's name and picture to Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, Ayatollah Khomeini, and Pat Buchanan among others.
.
-Not so subtly threatened "tragic outcomes for the Jewish people" in a headline over a photo of Obama speaking in Berlin.
.
-Called Obama advisers "anti-Israel" and "pro-Palestinian" for arguing for American diplomacy intended to achieve Middle East peace.
.
These ads play on the deepest fears and worst prejudices of our community - and they are everywhere. They're running in local Jewish newspapers in places like Miami, Philadelphia, and Columbus, Ohio where they can have maximum electoral effect.
.
.
The Republican Jewish Coalition has likely invested more than one million dollars in ads like these so far this cycle. While nobody out there is set-up to match these guys dollar for dollar, we can overwhelm them with sheer people power.
.
The J Street organization will write to each of the publications running the advertisements to demand that they pull any RJC ad that is filled with lies and distortions - and J Street will attach your signatures so they see the depth of the disgust in our community and across the country.
.
About J Street:
.
J Street is the political arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement. J Street was founded to promote meaningful American leadership to end the Arab-Israeli and Palestinian-Israel conflicts peacefully and diplomatically. J Street supports a new direction for American policy in the Middle East and a broad public and policy debate about the U.S. role in the region. Learn more about J Street at http://www.jstreet.org/
.
Want to know who is behind J Street? Follow this link to a complete list of all 100 J Street Advisory Committee Members together with their professions and/or affiliations.
.
Demonstrating that tens of thousands of Americans stand opposed to this sort of fear mongering in Jewish publications is the best way to stop the Republican Jewish Coalition's smears. That's why it's so important you sign this petition, and then forward this message on to as many people as possible.

Senator Obama's Commitment to Israel:
.
“Our alliance is based on shared interests and shared values. Those who threaten Israel threaten us. Israel has always faced these threats on the front lines. And I will bring to the White House an unshakable commitment to Israel’s security…I will ensure that Israel can defend itself from any threat - from Gaza to Tehran.… Across the political spectrum, Israelis understand that real security can only come through lasting peace. And that is why we - as friends of Israel - must resolve to do all we can to help Israel and its neighbors to achieve it.”
.
- Barack Obama

Help stop the hate - here are three things you can do to make a difference right now:

1. Sign the petition to end incitement of hatred by McCain/Palin.

2. Write your Congressperson about it.

3. Write a letter to the editor of your local paper.

And spread the word!
