Philanthropist Steve Bing donated $1-million to help the No on Prop 8 campaign flood the airwaves with a new 30-second commercial message. You can watch the commercial by scrolling down.

The California Teachers Association announced they too are donating $1-million to defeat Proposition 8.

"CTA views Prop 8 as a human rights issue. Everyone should be allowed equal protection under the law, and no one should have existing rights taken away," said Frank Wells, a CTA spokesperson.

Thirdly, Ellen DeGeneres donated $100,000 and a 27-second spot commercial to be aired throughout California. You can watch this spot commercial by scrolling down.

Earlier Brad Pitt donated $100,000 to defeat prop 8 and so did Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued this statement about Prop 8: “I respect the Court’s decision and as Governor, I will uphold its ruling. Also, as I have said in the past, I will not support an amendment to the constitution that would overturn this state Supreme Court ruling.”
