The United Nations in Pakistan is now saying the humanitarian situation is critical. Thousands of people are losing their homes every day as flood waters continue to surge south through Pakistan.
It is now the largest humanitarian disaster on the planet. The UN estimates that as many as six million people do not have even basic shelter from the elements. In total, nearly seventeen million people have been affected by the flooding in Pakistan.
