Now in its fifth year, Harry Denton and Donna Sachet present Sunday’s A Drag, a classic Sunday gourmet brunch followed by live drag entertainment, featuring elaborate costuming, dramatic performances, and hilarious comedy. Not since the legendary Finocchio's in North Beach closed its doors in 1999 after more than 60 years has San Francisco had such a perfect drag revue. Suitable for any age over 18 and any persuasion, this popular show attracts audiences of locals and tourists alike with shows at noon and 2:30 pm every Sunday in Harry Denton’s Starlight Room atop the Sir Francis Drake hotel, 450 Powell St., in Union Square.

Celebrate the love at San Francisco’s LovEvolution Oct. 2. The annual dance music parade and festival features a participatory parade with more than two dozen floats culminating in a giant outdoor dance club at Civic Center Plaza. If you don’t end up dancing your heart out at LovEvolution, check out the Castro Street Fair Oct. 3. Arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, dancing and music are all part of the fun at this street festival in the heart of the Castro. Or if you’re more of a literary type, the citywide Litquake is Oct. 8-16 and showcases hundreds of the Bay Area’s finest writers for a week of readings, discussions, films, cross-media happenings and more. These events only scratch the surface of upcoming unique happenings… so much to do, so little time. To view more upcoming events visit Only in San Francisco.
