Easter is early this year and the folks at Tenderloin Tessie's are putting out the call for volunteers for the group's annual Easter dinner for those in need.
Board president Michael Gagne said that this year's event will be held Sunday, April 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 1187 Franklin Street at Geary.
Gagne said that help is needed on Saturday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for unloading the truck. Additionally, volunteers are needed on Easter for shifts to set up (9 a.m. to noon), serving, and clean up at the event. A mandatory volunteer meeting takes place at noon, just before the dinner.
On Tuesday, April 6, Gagne said he needs a couple people to help unload the truck at the group's storage facility. It should only take an hour or so starting at 9 a.m., he said.
