This dramatic photo comes to us from the International Space Station by way of NASA.
U.S. Navy Seal, Commander Christopher Cassidy, is in space aboard the shuttle Endeavour as mission specialist on STS-127 mission since July 15. He is NASA’s 500th astronaut.
In the photo Cassidy, pictured during the Endeavour crew’s third space walk, works near the Japanese Exposed Facility (JEF). Astronaut Dave Wolf, Cassidy’s colleague for the spacewalk, is out of frame. Click on the photo to enlarge in a separate window or tab. Click here to get a high resolution photo to download.
Those Navy Seals are a remarkable team. They go to the most dangerous places on Earth (and in space) on the most dangerous missions this nation can offer.
They are heroes, every one of them: U. S. Navy Seals.
