America's despised, vilified, ignored and hated military families
There are men and women serving in the military of the United States of America who are officially despised, vilified, ignored and hated by the senior decision makers of the Department of Defense.
Their relationships at home must be kept secret from the DOD. These warriors and their families receive zero family benefits from our government.
President Obama says it is unfortunate and not acceptable. Yet, the policy remains in force. It is a policy which is destined by historians to rank equally in our collective sense of horror with the imprisonment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
This is the Don't Ask Don't tell policy.
