Official 2009 Obama Presidential Portrait Released


Today the Office of the President-Elect released the new official 2009 portrait for President Barack Obama.

It was taken by Pete Souza, the newly-announced official White House photographer. It is the first time that an official presidential portrait was taken with a digital camera. You can see the portrait at the right. I love Obama, but I do not like the portrait. Makes him look weak, and not as strong as his image portrays. Maybe Obama should reconsider having his picture drawn.

The picture is excellent. It has to be suitable to be hung in military offices, embassies, and elementary school classrooms nationwide. I think he looks strong, confident, but not too aggressive nor stern. I know he used to mock flag pins, so it's ironic he caved and wore one. It's what the people want him to do, so he'll wear it.
