San Francisco's Newest High-Rise Luxury Hotel

On February 28th San Francisco's newest high-rise hotel will open to the public. It is the 32-story, 250-room, $200-million blue-glass San Francisco Intercontinental Hotel at 888 Howard Street.

The new hotel is next door to the Moscone West Convention Center. The Intercontinental was designed by Patri Merker Architects.

The innovative curtain wall system consists of glass and metal panels. A restaurant will be located at street level and a full service spa and health club with a swimming pool will be located on the sixth floor. A series of terraces will provide open space areas, outdoor activities and separation from adjacent buildings allowing natural light and ventilation to reach the north side of the building.
