Pity the poor Log Cabin Republicans. They are clowns who have lost their audience.

The membership always reminded me of kidnapping victims who suffer from the Stockholm Syndrome, a psychological response in which the victim demonstrates signs of loyalty to the kidnapper, quite regardless of the danger in which the victim has been placed. For a gay man or lesbian woman to join the Log Cabin Republicans is to sleep with the enemy.
Log Cabin Republicans are fast becoming a thing of the past. They are all but a memory at present. Their membership is so low they cannot even find anyone to take charge. Imagine that!
Right on the home page of their website (http:online.logcabin.org) a desperate plea is made to anybody. It reads: "Anyone interested in applying to lead Log Cabin, please email National Board Chair Terry Hamilton". Pitiful.
Blogcabin California, the Log Cabin blog for California members, is not showing too much sign of life either. As of this date (May 4, 2009) the last blog entry was made on February 7, 2009 - three months ago! It is a dead blog for a dead organization.
The entire Republican Party is on the edge of self-destruction and the Log Cabin Clowns have already fallen off the cliff. They were among the first to go.
