Order your Green San Francisco Christmas Tree - and Volunteer Too!

The Dreaming of a Green Christmas program provides SF residents with a young tree, which will later be planted as a street tree, for use in place of a traditional cut, potted or synthetic holiday tree. Order today, as these trees often run out fast! The deadline is December 8.

The Dreaming of a Green Christmas program uses trees that are well suited for San Francisco's environment. Instead of being used once and then destroyed, these trees become a permanent part of our beautiful City.

Calling all San Franciscans!

Volunteers needed on Sunday, December 7. We need folks to help load and move trees from the Presidio to Civic Center, where we will be setting up our Christmas tree lot.

Volunteers must be able to lift 20 pounds and be eager to engage participants about this wonderful program. Hot cocoa will be served to keep everybody warm!

Please contact Sunshine Swinford, SF Environment Volunteer Coordinator, to sign up. Send Sunshine an email at:
